Natural Endings and New Beginnings

I’ve been following a new astrology blog called Mystic Mamma.  (Yes, I’ve been diving into astrology a lot lately.  I figure a system that’s been used by civilizations for thousands of years has to have some merit.  And I’ve seen too many correlations in my own life to consider it all coincidence.  There’s a lot of power and knowledge in the stars, and I hope people start giving them more credit.)

Mystic Mamma posted something last week about the sun entering the sign of Pisces and what that means.  She states that Pisces is a very spiritual sign and can bring about a lot of changes.  It signals a time of natural endings and preparing for a new beginning.  Old ways are crumbling and new dreams are emerging.

When considering the natural endings aspect, I find it incredibly intriguing that I’ve had over a dozen Facebook friends post about losing a loved one recently, not to mention that I myself am dealing with the possibility of losing my grandmother very soon.  But life goes in cycles – you take the good with the bad, the sad times with the happy times.  Some things may be coming to a natural end, and it’s our job to let them go and release attachments we may have to them.  When things end, new things emerge – new dreams, new ways of living, new aspirations.

So if you’re currently dealing with losing someone or something – be it through death, distance, separation, or loss – know that it is all a part of the natural cycles of life.  Things must end for new things to begin.  The sun is in Pisces until the Spring Equinox on March 20 when it will move into Aries.  Once this happens, it’s a great time to begin anew, to dream a new dream, seek new initiatives, and pioneer forward.

Take this time to meditate and pray on what is coming to a natural end in your own life.  Are you letting go of someone you love?  Perhaps a relationship that is no longer serving you is ending.  Or a job or way of living is leaving you depleted and empty.  Release and let go of those things and open yourself up to the new beginnings that are waiting for you.  Dream a new dream.  Live a new life.  The stars are working in your favor.  The energy is building for a new way of being to emerge.  What are you ready to let go of, and what are you ready to open yourself up to?

Meditation

I release that which is coming to a natural end.
I accept the cycles of life, and I embrace the change that is occurring in me now.
I let go of what is no longer serving me, and I open myself up to the new possibilities that are emerging.
Out with the old, in with the new.
