Hello Everyone. Just thought I’d post a little something before I headed to bed. Yes, it is 10:30 and I plan on being in bed my 11 or so. I’m exhausted.
I worked today from 8-4. It was a pretty long day. We were pretty busy the whole time, so it went by fast, but it was still a long day. I came home after work and started working on homework, which I’ve been doing all night. What really stinks is that I’ve been working on this one paper for 2 hours and I still don’t even know what I’m going to write about. I’ve spent the past 2 hours just brain storming. I was hoping to have some of the paper done by the time I went to bed, but oh well. However, I did finally figure out what I’m going to write about, so that’s good. Anyway, so yeah, that’s been my day…pretty boring.
I’m excited about tomorrow. I’m skipping church (I know, I’m going to hell), but I really need to work on some homework; I have a ton to do. So, I’m skipping church and getting up early and just working on homework all morning/afternoon. Then, around 3 or so, Cory and I are heading to Sullivan for the evening. My great grandpa died this past week, and we are having a memorial service for him back home. Please keep my family in your prayers, especially my granma (it was her dad). So, that’s why I need to work on homework all day; so that I can go home and spend some QT with the fam and not worry about homework. I’m excited about being able to spend some time with my family. It seems like the past few times I’ve seen or talked to them, I’ve been really busy or in a rush. It’ll be nice to just have some quality time with them.
So, other than school and steak n shake, not much has been going on in my life. Last weekend was amazing! I finally got to meet Cory’s parents and they are awesome! His mom’s a sweetheart and his dad is great. It was so awesome to finally meet them. It’s hilarious because Cory’s Mom is in a trio, and they did a Point of Grace song at church on Sunday. This is hilarious because my mom is in a quartet, and they do Point of Grace songs all the time! Cory decided that we are going to have a battle of the Mom band and see who’s mom has the best group. Of course mine would win… Actually, I think it would be a pretty tough competition…
Well, I’m off to clean up my mess from dinner, call Cory since I haven’t talked to him all day, read a little from the good Book, and then head to bed. I’m going to get like 9 hours of sleep…that’s like twice the amount I usually get. It will be glorious!
I leave you all with this little quote:
“Consider it pure joy my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it’s work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all he does.”
~James 1:2-8
Stay strong and keep the faith. God will help you through everything.
I’ve been diggin’ on James a lot lately – the book, not some strange guy.
Oh, sure, go and post stuff that hits right in the heart. 😉
