So, I thougth I’d post really quick before it was time for 24.
I had a really good weekend. Some friends of the family flew in
from Cali on Friday and then we all went out to Texas Roadhouse for
dinner. Today is my niece’s 5th birthday, so we had a party for
her on Saturday, which was pretty fun. As fun as a 5 year old’s
Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party can be. Church was
good yesterday. We had a big all church dinner after
church. The children’s church kids sang a song during it.
Cory and I lead them on a wonderful song about the Fruit of the Spirit
which, of course, everyone thought was adorable. I also got to
see Miss Sarah Blair this weekend. The D-Group went out to
breakfast on Saturday and then I went over to Sarah’s last night after
church. I’ve really missed that girl. I still think she
should come to IU and live with me and Katie next year! The only
downfall of the weekend was my sickness. I’ve had an absolutely
horrible cold the past 4-5 days. I’m feeling a little better
today, so I’m hoping I’m over the worst.
Spring Break has begun! I’m actually really excited that I’m not
going anywhere or doing anything big for break. Just relaxing and
getting some much needed work done. I went into church and
actually worked today. It was actually really nice. I can’t
wait for this summer when I can go into the office everyday. I
just feel like I have more of a real job then. I’m a lot more
productive when I’m in the office compared to my room in
Bloomington. I have a lot of work to get done this week with
various children’s church related things, so I’m hoping for a very
productive week.
Oh yeah…I dyed my hair. Yes, for the first time EVER, I dyed my hair, well actually Cory dyed my hair.
I’ve been wanting to dye it for a few months now, and I finally got
brave and did it. It is now a very dark brown. I really
like it. Everyone I’ve talked to seems to really like it as well,
so that’s good. It’s a nice change, something I needed.
It’s definitely different, but a good different.
So, it’s almost official…as long as Katie gets accepted to IU, we’re
living together next year!!! YAY!!! (For those of you who
don’t know, Katie is a friend of mine from high school, one of the
D-Group girls.) She came to B-town on Friday and we looked at a
few apartments. I also gave her a little mini-tour of the big
city of Bloomington. We’re going to look at some more apartments
on
Friday. Hopefully we’ll be able to find a nice one.
I’m so excited about living with her! We are going to have the
CUTEST apartment EVER!! I’m
definitely looking forward to getting out on my own and having an
apartment. Don’t get me wrong, I love the CSF house, I’m just
ready to have my own place and space. And Cory and I are going to
hopefully get a dog this summer, so he/she can come stay with Mommy
every now and then!
Well, it’s 9:07 and Mom is still at praise band practice which means we
won’t be watching 24 till 10. So I guess I can continue talking
about various, random things…
Does anyone have any ideas of what they called boys and girls back in
the old west?? Our children’s spring revival is a western theme,
so we have to figure out what to call the boys and girls. We came
up with Buckaroos for the boys, but we don’t know about the
girls. We also need to come up with four other names to call each
class (PreK-K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-6th). If any of my loyal
Xanga readers have any ideas, let me know!
Well, I actually think I ran out of random things to talk about…I’m going to go do laundry now.
Goodnight all!
It’s about time…I was about to not name any names!
