So I have a little update to my last post. First off, here’s an article about Kyle. I got a note from my little brother, Dusty, today and it was very encouraging. In my previous post, I talked about how I knew that Kyle had fallen in his faith, and I wasn’t really sure where he stood with God. I also talked about how I hoped that he and Brett became friends and that Brett helped him grow in his faith. Dusty said that he had been reading some local articles on Kyle, and he found out that Kyle and Brett did become very close friends. A service was held in Afghanistan for the fallen soldiers, and the officer leading the service read some autobiographies on the soldiers. When he read Brett’s he stated that “one of the greatest things he did in his life was that he got Kyle to read the Bible.” Talk about something hitting you right in the heart. Thank you Dusty for sharing that with me.
So that was very encouraging to hear. Even though I never met Brett nor had I even heard of him until this happened, I thank him. I thank him for helping out a friend of mine, for helping Kyle grow in his faith. I know that I will see both of them again someday, and I am looking forward to that day.
you are very welcome Kim……i was pretty happy after i read that
