I can’t wait to dance at my wedding…

So as I was getting ready this morning, I was listening to all of my
required music for my Rock n Roll class.  The section I was
listening
to was all the Funk, Motown, and R&B stuff, and I was having a
great time, dancing while straightening my hair…it was just one of
those moments…just dancing and enjoying the music, realizing how much
I love music.  I also realized how much I love funk and Motown
music.  I’ve decided that I’m pretty much just going to take the
whole listening list for this section and put it on a CD to play at my
reception.  It’s such great dance music…The O’Jays, Stevie
Wonder (whose voice I am completely in love with), Marvin Gaye,
Earth,Wind, and Fire, James Brown, Parliament, etc…  And I know
Cory won’t disapprove.  So everyone listen to some funk and
R&B and get ready to dance all night on May 27th!  I’m listening to it right now and dancing in my computer chair…I’m such a dork.

I haven’t updated in a long time and TONS is going on in my
life!!!  School’s been pretty crazy the past few weeks.
Midterm was a few weeks ago, so I had no life whatsoever (is that all
one word?…) for about a week.  Cory and I went and spent the
weekend with Mom and Dad Brewer a few weekends ago and then Mom and Dad
Miller the following weekend.  His Mom is sooo cute!  She’s
SO excited about the wedding.  She has all these cute awesome
ideas.  It’s so much fun!  We also had our first premarital
counseling session with Cory’s Dad (Stevie just came on and I spent
about a minute or so dancing in my chair and not typing…such a
dork…) which consisted of answering a big questionnaire (sp?).
It was actually really interesting.  A lot of the things it
brought up were things that Cory and I had already talked about,
although it did ask some things that really got me thinking.
Things I hadn’t thought about before.  It was also really awesome
because (*warning – sappiness ahead!*) it made me realize how lucky I
am to have this amazing relationship with Cory.  We are so blessed
and I don’t ever want to take any of it for granted.  Some of the
questions asked about what we fought over the most, or what our
“tactics” were when we fought.  The awesome part is that Cory and
I never fought.  In the entire 16 months, 2 weeks, and 2 days
we’ve been together, we’ve only gotten into one fight, and it wasn’t
even a real fight.  We just got into a little disagreement.
We’re just so blessed to share not only the love that we share, but
also the friendship.   He’s my best friend, and we have
nothing but fun when we’re together.  Answering those questions
just made me realize how lucky we are to have what we have.  And I
thank God for all of it.

Ok, so enough of the sappiness even though I could go on for hours

So, semi-big news going on in Kim’s life…I’ve decided to become a
Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.  Go ahead, roll your eyes…
I went to a meeting with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and have been
thinking and praying about it since.  I had a party this past
weekend while Mom, Grandma, and Dawn were in town, and I finally
decided I wanted to do it.  I’m actually really excited about
it.  It’s just something that I can do on my spare time and earn
some extra money.  I’ve decided that any profit I make from
selling Mary Kay is going directly into my savings account which has
now been deemed “The Marriage Fund.”  (Unless I’m absolutely broke
and need it for bills or something.)  So it’s basically to get
some extra money since I’m getting married and money will be sparce
soon (even though it already is.)  I went to my first meeting
tonight with all the other consultants and our director.  It was
pretty fun.  It really gets you excited about getting out there
and selling.  I’m not really setting any expectations or
anything.  I’m just gonna take it a day at a time and see how I
like it.  And you never know, maybe I’ll end up completely loving
it and want to make a career out of it. You never know.  So if any
of you girls in the B-town/Indy area want to get pampered with a free
facial and glamour, give me a call.  I’m gonna need the
practice.  Plus, it will be fun and free!

(“Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye just came on – Cory and I want this to be the last song played at our reception. )

Mom, Grandma, Dawn, and Jeanne Anne were all in town this
weekend.  Lots of fun as usual.  It was just nice to get to
hang out get some good quality time together.  And they all got
free Chipotle out of it.

Speaking of which…they had a random drawing at work this
morning.  Everyone’s names were put in a hat and they drew
one.  They drew Cory’s name and he won two $20 gift cards to Texas
Roadhouse!!!  So we have $40 worth of free Texas
Roadhouse!!!!  That means we get to go on a date this weekend and
get free food!!  Yay free food!!!

Well, I need to go do something productive like hang out with my fiance.

Adios amigos!
