Wow…It’s been too long…

So, I guess you could say I haven’t updated in a while.
The funny this is that there’s been TONS of stuff going on
lately.  Perhaps that’s why I haven’t posted…I dunno.  So,
here goes a much needed update.

I had two bridal showers in Sullivan this weekend which were
awesome!!  I have the best family and friends a girl could ask
for!  The first bridal shower was an all church one, so all of mom
and grandma’s friends were there.  We had a good time, and I got
tons of fun stuff!.  The second shower was a “personal” shower if
you catch my drift.  This one was just close friends and
family.  It was awesome as well.  Filled with fun people,
great food, and fun gifts.  I have an outfit for every night of
the honeymoon, now.

School is moving right along.  Nothing too crazy to report.  Only 5.5 weeks left!!!  Then the fun begins!

Spring break was way too short.  I was supposed to get my wisdom
teeth out, but some things came up and that didn’t happen.  So, I
had the whole week off from work and nothing to do.  I was called
in one night, so that was nice.  I went home for a few days and
spent some quality time with the fam and took care of some wedding
planning stuff.  I’m so excited about the flowers in my
wedding!  I’m having all white daisies, and it’s going to be so
simple and cute!!  Other than that, I just vegged all break
instead of doing homework.  Isn’t that what break’s for?

The wedding is in less than 2 months!!!  That is crazy!!
There still a lot to do, but most of the big stuff is taken care
of.  The bridesmaid dresses are in; we just need to find shoes
now.  We’re finishing up the invites and sending them out the
beginning of next week.  Then we just have decorations and favors
to work on which is the fun stuff my bridesmaids get to help me with. 🙂

It’s funny to think of all the different reasons why I’m excited about
the wedding.  Of course, I’m excited because I’m getting married,
what could be better.  But I’m also excited about seeing old
friends like Steve F, Rob, Steve J, Pat, and Kyle and Aubs.  I’m excited about
all my friends from Bloomington meeting my family.  I’m excited
about all my friends from Sullivan meeting my friends from
Bloomington.  I’m just excited for everyone to get together and
have fun!!  The reception’s going to rock!

Then, I’m excited about the honeymoon.  We’re going to San
Diego!!  For those of you who don’t know, I’m a Cali native so I’m
super excited about going back for a visit.  California is one of
those places where I never want to live (again), but would like to
visit often.  We’re going to go to the Zoo, and spend lots of time
at the beach.  Maybe play with a dolphin or two. 🙂  It’s
going to be great!

As for current stuff going on in my life, Cory and I are headed to
Richmond this weekend for the Miller side bridal shower.  My mom
and grandma get to come, and I’m excited about them meeting all the
Miller girls.

The rest of the semester is filling up quick with papers, projects, and
tests.  But I know it will all be over before I know it.
Then it’s time to move (hopefully – as long as my apartment gets sublet
for the summer) and do some serious last minute wedding planning!

Update on Dad – He went back to work this week!!  This is very
good.  I talked to Mom the other day and she said he’s going
really well.  He got an implant defibrillator put in about a month
or so ago.  That’s working really well, and he’s doing
awesome.  Hopefully the rest of the week will go well for him and
he’ll get to continue going to work.  Thanks for all of your
thoughts and prayers throughout everything with him.  You are all
awesome!!

Well, I need to go be productive before I go to work.  Before I go, I will leave all you 24 fans with this thought:

In the game Euchre there are 24 cards.  The highest card is called the
bower, which comes from the German word Bauer which means Jack.  Of
course, the Jack is the face value of the highest card in the game…coincidence?  I think not…

  1. Don’t forget to go to the wild animal park when you’re in san diego. If you hit the oceanside pier look for my name. I’m on there somewhere. (I am from the san diego area)
