I’ve definitely felt that life is on my side this week. And it’s all because of the little things.
I started a new job on Monday. It’s just part-time, something to bring in a little extra to help pay the bills. I was really nervous when I started job searching because I wanted something part-time that paid well and was low stress. Focusing on my writing is number one for me right now, so I really didn’t want something that was a lot of hours or uber stressful. I’ve had enough stressful jobs over the last year and a half. 😉
As I started the long, arduous task of job searching, I completely surrendered to the universe. I trusted that I would find the perfect and right job at the perfect and right time. And what did the universe bring me?
I manifested a job at a holistic daycare where my hours are 1-6 Monday to Friday and I’m in the infant room. Which means I now get paid (pretty well) to sit and cuddle babies all day. Absolutely heaven. Dustin tells me that I’m glowing every night when I come home. 🙂
I’m so grateful for this. The hours are perfect, still giving me my mornings for journaling, writing, meditation, and yoga. And I’ll still have my weekends off to spend with the step-babies. The center itself is AMAZING! Such a great environment and wonderful people who work there. And these babies? So so adorable. My heart explodes every day when I walk in. Just amazing all around.
Another little miracle happened this week, too! I got an email yesterday saying that one of my blog posts was added to the “Blogs We Dig” list on HerFuture! The site administrators scour the posts and compile a list of favorites every week, and my post “Learn to Love Yourself” was on the list this week! Pretty cool! Most of my posts on that site get about a dozen views, and as of right now, that post is up to 140! Baby steps, right?! 🙂 I just discovered this site a couple of weeks ago, and I’m so glad I did. It was founded by Gabrielle Bernstein, and is a great place for women to find encouragement, support, and inspiration. If you’re looking for some divine feminine influence, definitely check it out. I’ve really enjoyed it.
So I have a happy and grateful heart this week. I’m reminded that when I surrender and have faith, things just work out! God brings me little surprises that give me more joy and love that I could have imagined.
Now I just have to get through this final week of grad school… I’ll probably be MIA here on the blog for the rest of the week. My time will be spent researching and writing papers. So take some time to browse and maybe read some old posts you haven’t read yet. And keep meditating!!
Love and Blessings,
