So, it’s been way too long since I’ve updated and a lot has gone on
since my last update.  So, here are the highlights to fill you in:

August 4:  Cory (re)proposed to me!
All I have to say is, he did good, very good.  Not only do I have
the most beautiful diamond ring I have ever seen, he totally surprised
me and made the event very special.  I was eating at the Black
Buggy in Washington with the D-Group girls and moms, and he showed up
at the end of the meal.  Mom, Dawn, and Grandma were all in on it,
and the other girls figured it out halfway through the meal by hearing
Mom and Dawn talk about it when I wasn’t at the table.  It was
really awesome to be able to share that moment with some of my closest
friends.  It is definitely a night I will always cherish and never
forget.

August 7-11:  I spend this week as a room mom at Camp Illiana
during a Junior (grades 3-6) week.  This was a really fun
week.  I’ve volunteered at Camp Illiana before, but this was my
first year as a room mom.  I had nine girls in my room, and all of
them were awesome.  We had so much fun together.  Three of
the girls in my room made the decision to accept Jesus as their Savior
and be baptized, one of which I was blessed with the opportunity to
baptize on the last night.  That was an awesome experience.
It was the first time I had ever baptized anyone, and it was
awesome.  I really think that is the only word to describe
it.  In all, it was a great week spent with some great kids
learning about and growing in Christ.

August 13:  Stacey’s (big sis) wedding.  As soon as I got
back from camp, I had to start getting everything ready for Stacey’s
wedding.  Everything ended up going really well.  It was a
beautiful ceremony, and everything went smoothly.  We also found
out the night before the wedding that Stacey and Ryan are
expecting.  Everyone was kinda shocked at first, but once the
shock wore off as well as the stress of the wedding, we all started to
get excited.  She’s about a month along, so she’s due April
16.  That means we’ll have about a month or so to get Stacey a
dress for my wedding after she has the baby.  The nice thing is
that they’re going to take it cesarean, so Stacey can pretty much pick
the day she wants to have it.  I’m excited about being an aunt
again.  I hope it’s a boy, but Madi doesn’t because apparently
“boys are mean and nasty.”  Stacey keeps telling her that she’ll
just have to teach him how not to be mean and nasty.

August 18:  Katie and I headed to B-town to take a load of stuff to the new apartment.  YAY APARTMENT!!  We,
or at least I, moved in completely on the 20th.  I just finished
semi-organizing my room.  I still have a little more to do, but
more or less, I’m all unpacked.  Katie’s coming back on Wednesday
(I think) and bringing the last bit of her stuff.  I’m really
happy to be back in Bloomington.  The new apartment is pretty
nice.  It has its pros and its cons, but it’ll definitely do for
the next 9 months.  We’ll be cat sitting Mike and Andrea’s cat,
Norma Jean (yes, she’s named after the band),
while they go to Europe for a month.  She’s slowly adjusting to
the new place.  Sometimes she’ll let you pet her, other times,
she’ll hiss at you.  But I think she’s going to be fine in
time.  Check out Mike and Andrea’s site and read about their trip.  I’m really excited for them, but totally jealous.

That pretty much brings me up to today.  This Sunday is my last
Sunday at the church, so the week is going to be filled with getting
everything wrapped up with that and searching for a new job.
School starts in a week…I’m excited, but not.  I’m excited to
get back into the swing of things, but not excited about
homework.

Well, there’s the excitement of my life.  Pray for me this next
week.  It’s going to be kinda stressful with it being my last week
at work.  Not only do I need to look for a new job which can be
stressful enough, I’m not quite sure how Sunday is going to go.
It’s kind of a long story that I won’t go into on here.  In short,
not a lot of people even know that Sunday is my last day because our
church is run weird and no one ever knows anything.  It’s just
kind of an awkward situation, so just pray that everything goes
smoothly on Sunday.  I would greatly appreciate it.

Goodnight Everyone!
